Wong Ranchan Recreational Park
Tuesday, December 09, 2008I guess maybe all of my friends are wondering where I was going, once landed in Kuching. Haha. Worry no more. I had been to Wong Ranchan Recreational Park to sooth the heat of my feet. Unfortunately, I don’t have a short pant with me at that time. If not, I already jump into the waterfall and swim all the day J After a hectic semester with tonnes of assignments, projects, and presentations, and not to mention recent conference I attended, now is the time for me to have a HOLIDAY of my own. Hahaha. Next, what should I do? I don’t have any plan in my mind yet. Maybe I should visit the Sanctuary Wildlife Centre or the National Park. Hmmmm, just wait and see :)
IPTC Education Week
Saturday, December 06, 2008Recently, I had been participating in Education Week of International Petroleum Technical Conference held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from 1st to 5th December 2008. It is a lifetime opportunity that comes once in a blue moon since KL has never host an enormous event like this before. And exciting part is, I was able to meet hundred of students from all continents of the world and work together with them on a project assignment given to us prior our arrival to KL.
My group consisted of 10 group members (that I would not forget!) Let me introduce you to them.

Front row: Maria (group leader) from Russia, Umi from Nigeria
Second row: Me, Taufiq (Indonesia), Pedro (Venezuela), Ilkin (Azerbaijan), Tausif (India), Jason (Malaysia), Juan Diego (Colombia), Elise (USA)
Working with them and having a chat with other teams is a priceless experience. Not that it will broaden my mind and knowledge, but also expanding the horizon of networking to another level, where I would not expected to have a network with Pedro that live at GMT-8 time zone or Maria in Alaska with temperature of -40 degC (below freezing temperature!!).
I hope they do enjoy their “holiday” in Malaysia even we did not manage to get into Petronas twin tower.
Trip to KL
Thursday, October 30, 2008Hi friends out there.
Two weeks had passed since our last trip to KL for FDP workshop, yet none of us would ever forget the memory etched. To petrify the moment we had together, only pictures could tell the story. So, enjoy the pictures below, and do forward to me if you had any pictures that you would like to share on the net.
During this Hari Raya holiday also, I would like to take the opportunity to wish all of you Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir & Batin.
